Wonderful :) That is the best word I can use to describe my life since 12 AM this morning. I've been really dealing with a lot of worry recently. (over everything you can imagine) At 12 am this morning, however, I cried out to God and he heard my prayer. I've been filled with the most amazing peace ever since. I was tired of the worry and stress that had inevitably become my life over the past month or so. I knew that as his daughter this was not my inheritance. I started picking up the Word and soaking it up like crazy. I've spent more time on my knees this week than I have in a long time. I went to a great little church and felt his prescence with me. Wonderful.

Thank you Father for being my strength, my shield and my peace!

Some of the verses I've been soaking up this week-

"My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:19

"But I will trust in your unfailing love, my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me. " -Psalm 13:5-6

"He brought me out into a spacious place, he rescued me because he delighted in me." -Psalm 18:19

"Fear not (there is nothing to fear), for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, Yes, I will help you, yes I will hold you up and retain you with my (victorious) right hand of rightness and justice." -Isaiah 41:10

{ It's been too long }

I am now almost 4 months into the new year and I'm ashamed to say none of my goals have been met. :( I guess I shouldn't beat myself up- no one is perfect, right? I had intended to start this year off on the right foot, and I did. I'm just still overweight, not as close to God as I want to be, and feeling the repercussions of my laziness. I just got over my 3rd bought with mono this week. No fun.

I've got to get it together, its just sooooooo hard to get into a routine. I want to excercise, eat well, read my bible more faithfully, and find and faithfully attend a good church, I just don't. It's laziness, I'll admit. Pray for me. I need a good spiritual kick in the behind :) I work well with setting mini-goals for myself. Maybe I should make some for this week. I go.

1. Do Zumba 3 x this week.
2. Limit myself to only 1 candy bar and 1 pop this week.
3. Try not to eat after 7 PM
4. Make my quiet time first thing in the morning every day this week. I'll start reading through Isaiah.
5. Try to get in bed by 10:30.

Ok, that wasn't so bad. I can manage four things, right? Maybe I should keep a daily update?

{ Fun Times }

Last night Chris and I went to Shogun with his good friend Burny and his girlfriend Kayla. Kayla and I have a couple of classes together and have also became friends, which is nice. :) We've tried to double date with other couples before but one of us would never hit it off with the friend's significant other. Not this time, I think we all make a pretty good group. Shogun was sooooo good. I got the shrimp and chicken. Yum. We had to wait a while to get seated, but it was totally worth the wait. We then went to Burny's house to play the Wii. Let me admit to you now that I'm TERRIBLE. It was still fun though. ;)

This picture makes me laugh. :)

{ New Look }

I'm loving the new blog look! The background was free from Aqua Poppy Designs.
Oh I have been a busy, busy girl! Last night I saw He's Just Not That Into You with Shelley, Lindsey, and Rachel. It was so good! I think every woman can relate to this movie! Today Chris and I are going on a double date with his friend Burny and his girlfriend Kayla. Shogun here we come! :)

I know I need to blog more...I just need to get myself organized. It will come. :)

{ New Verse }

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” –Isaiah 41:13 (NIV)

{ Busy }

Meet Max, my Science Methods assignment. I'm supposed to carry him around for a week and do experiments with him to find out what he does. It turns out he's a GrowBeast and went from 3 inches to almost 12 when submerged in water over night.

This semester has been pretty good so far. :) New semesters offer a clean slate, and let me tell you, I'm all for a fresh begining. I've had ALOT of homework to do over the past couple weeks and that's why I haven't been blogging as much...I need the blogging world. :)
So here is an update. A very honest update.
I haven't been faithful to WW. At all. I'm ashamed.
I have worked out at the gym with my friend Shelley a few times.
I haven't lost a single pound. Again, ashamed.
I have been praying everyday, but haven't been faithful to completing my bible study.
I reallllly need to step it up. I've determined to make this a year when I get things accomplished. :)

{ What's on my nightstand }

I've heard great things about the Apothecary's Daughter and am pleased to announce it is on its way from Barnes and Noble. Also on the way are four of Jane Austen's novels. I'm planning on reading these this Spring. :)

I found Princess Academy for 5 dollars at Borders and couldn't resist. I have loads of picture books for my future classroom and decided I need to start adding some chapter books as well. I have it on my nightstand at present and hope to start reading it soon.

I started this book a couple of weeks ago, but school work has all but ruined my aspirations of finishing it quickly. I saw the movie version of Jane Eyre a few years ago and loved it, so I thought I'd give the book a try. I'm almost halfway finished, and find the book to be in a little bit of a lull at present. I'm sure it will pick up soon. :) Also included with this novel are Agnes Grey and Wuthering Heights. This was one of my other great Borders finds for 5 dollars. You can't beat 3 novels for 5 dollars. :)

I finally finished up all my layouts for 2008 and I'm elated :) I spent the better part of the day organizing everything in my 3 ring scrapbook. I can put 12 x 12 and 8 x 11 layouts in it and its so nice to keep everything in one scrapbook. I got the idea to do this from the talented Ali Edwards :) I also purchased these photo sleeve pages that hold 6 photos on each side. They're 12 x 12 so they fit perfectly in my scrapbook. Here are a handful of my pages...

I used my 12 x 12 6 photo sleeves and added journaling blocks to make a layout. I added one of my 8 x 11 layouts into the mix as well.

More photo sleeves.

I saw my neighbor wearing these cute boots and had to get a picture of them. She got them on sale for 3 dollars!
