{ What's on my nightstand }

I've heard great things about the Apothecary's Daughter and am pleased to announce it is on its way from Barnes and Noble. Also on the way are four of Jane Austen's novels. I'm planning on reading these this Spring. :)

I found Princess Academy for 5 dollars at Borders and couldn't resist. I have loads of picture books for my future classroom and decided I need to start adding some chapter books as well. I have it on my nightstand at present and hope to start reading it soon.

I started this book a couple of weeks ago, but school work has all but ruined my aspirations of finishing it quickly. I saw the movie version of Jane Eyre a few years ago and loved it, so I thought I'd give the book a try. I'm almost halfway finished, and find the book to be in a little bit of a lull at present. I'm sure it will pick up soon. :) Also included with this novel are Agnes Grey and Wuthering Heights. This was one of my other great Borders finds for 5 dollars. You can't beat 3 novels for 5 dollars. :)

I finally finished up all my layouts for 2008 and I'm elated :) I spent the better part of the day organizing everything in my 3 ring scrapbook. I can put 12 x 12 and 8 x 11 layouts in it and its so nice to keep everything in one scrapbook. I got the idea to do this from the talented Ali Edwards :) I also purchased these photo sleeve pages that hold 6 photos on each side. They're 12 x 12 so they fit perfectly in my scrapbook. Here are a handful of my pages...

I used my 12 x 12 6 photo sleeves and added journaling blocks to make a layout. I added one of my 8 x 11 layouts into the mix as well.

More photo sleeves.

I saw my neighbor wearing these cute boots and had to get a picture of them. She got them on sale for 3 dollars!

{ A Few Photos }

First of all, he has the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. Click on the photo to view it bigger. I get to look into these eyes everyday ;)
It's cold and snowing outside. I like snow sometimes, but it's no fun to drive in it. At least today it's not too cold, yesterday it was NEGATIVE 7 degrees!

The boyfriend took this one for me. He' s quite the little photographer :)

{ Favorite Chick Flicks }

1. The Holiday- I like it because it reminds me that I'm a "leading lady" ;)
2. Ever After- Has one of the best movie quotes ever "And while Cinderella and her prince did live happily ever after, the point, gentleman, is that they lived."

3. The Princess Diaries 1 and 2-Displays inner beauty as what's important.

3. Where the Heart Is- The characters in this movie are so full of life :)

4. The Wedding Planner- I think I liked this one because it reminded me of an old fashioned romance.

My favorite (true) old fashioned chick flick is That Touch of Mink with Doris Day and Cary Grant. I LOVE this movie :)
My other favorites are...
Return to Me
Sweet Home Alabama
Runaway Bride
The Notebook
Pride and Prejudice
27 Dresses
You’ve Got Mail
While You Were Sleeping
The Family Man
A Walk in the Clouds
Far and Away
She’s The Man
My Big Fat Greek Wedding

{ Yesterday }

I lounged around with Christopher and read my new Creating Keepsakes. SO sad that Simple Scrapbooks is retiring. It has been my favorite for 5 years. :(

We went to lunch with my beautiful friend Rachel. I need to start taking my camera with me to these things. :)

We took some photos for my WW journey. This is my head shot. I decided to officially start when school starts (this week) so I'll have more structure. So week 1 will be this week instead of two weeks ago. No, I didn't cop out early, I just decided to prolong the onset of the experience. :)
I love him :)

I bought a new phone...for 1 cent! I've had US Cellular for 3 years so I was due for a new phone. I then paid almost $20 dollars for a new phone cover. This is my phone and Chris's phone. His is a little pricier than mine :)

My shoe :)

Self portrait. I don't have a whole lot of photos with me in them because I'm always behind the camera. :)

I also went to see Bride Wars with my friends Rachel and Missy yesterday. It was a cute movie, but I was slightly disappointed with the plot. It lacked that special something. They just don't make chick flicks like they used to. Speaking of chick flicks, I may need to make a post about my all time favs. :)

{ Where did my background go? }

I logged in to show Chris my blog...and the background was gone :( I guess that the template was deleted by the creator. Oh well. I'm on the hunt for a new look...

{ New Layouts }

A very blurry photo, but it gives you the idea of what my scrapping experience was like. I prob. should clean this up at some point today. :)

A layout about my Junior year of college. Its very simple, but it works :)

Documenting my need for some weight/health changes...

I could scrap all day :)

This boy is coming home from a work week in Petersburg tonight...and he's all mine! 5 days without my boyfriend just doesn't work for me. I'm really hoping he gets a job locally after he graduates this spring.

No fears, it will work out :)Add Image

{ New Verse }

My 2nd verse for January is...

"The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

I looked up the Hebrew for my verse, and found it very interesting that for the NASB translation of "He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy" some of the corresponding words with shout are proclamation and triumph. :)

My last verse (from memory)
"Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished." - Luke 1:45

This verse has been a blessing, I find myself repeating it in those moments when life shows its bad side. Thank you God for the Word :)

....for the next two weeks I've changed my playlist song to Mighty to Save :)

{ Style Dreams }

This is my wishlist for my next shopping spree. { Hopefully this weekend! }

So I decided to check out some new hairstyles. I uploaded a picture and "tried on" some different ones and this is what I finally fell in love with. Unfortunately I only had a black and white photo that was a suitable upload for the program, but it works. I'm loving the cut and the highlights. This is actually very similar to a previous hairstyle I had in highschool. I loved it.

Maybe I'm "coming back to my roots" :)
